No better way to kick off Zero Gravity Basketball’s Top Ten Facility List than with Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park, one of the largest sports complexes in the northeast. The 180,000 square-foot, multi-use sports center includes 8 full size basketball courts, 2 turf fields, restaurants, go karts, arcades, lazer tag and so much more.
Rebuilt in 2013, the old Starland amusement center, located on Route 53 in Hanover, MA, was a landmark or generations. Since the 1960’s, Starland has been an entertainment destination for families and friends, as people flocked in to drive the go-karts, swing at pitches in the batting cages, and play arcade games. Under new ownership, the community saw an increasing need for more indoor courts and fields, which led to the revamping of Starland Sportsplex.
What was built in the revamp has become one of the largest sportsplex's in New England. The facility offers 8 indoor basketball courts (that can be converted into 16 volleyball courts), 2 turf fields, bumper cars, lazer tag, an arcade, restaurants and plenty of event space - and that is only inside the complex! Not to stray from the roots of Starland, the outside sportsplex offers miniature golf, a go kart track, bungee jumper, a rock wall and batting cages.
"Starland is one of the best sites we use on the East Coast, with 8 courts under one roof. Shane Burnison and his staff truly care about the on site experience for players, coaches and parents."
- Greg Kristoff, CEO & Co-Founder of Zero Gravity Basketbal
Inside the sportsplex, you will find two newly established restaurants - The Draft on 53 Sports Bar and Fuel Espresso and Bagel Co. Coffee Shop. The Draft directly overlooks courts one and two , so you can watch all the action while enjoying a diverse menu of food and beverages.
